Toronto Raptors: 3 Possible Trade Offers for Paul Millsap

Toronto Raptors: 3 Possible Trade Offers for Paul Millsap

Korver has ended three seasons leading the league in three-point shooting percentage, doing so twice in Atlanta in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 campaigns.

Korver, a career 42.9 percent 3-point shooter, will be a natural fit into Cleveland's rotation.

A day after shipping their first-round pick in June's draft to the Portland Trail Blazers for a 2018 first-round pick, the Cavaliers have landed guard Kyle Korver from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Mike Dunleavy, Mo Williams and a future first-round pick. Mike Dunleavy also a part of this trade agreement, moving to a third team through the Hawks according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Cavs star LeBron James believes Korver will boost his 49-percent mark on wide-open 3s in Cleveland.

In 996 career regular-season games, which includes stints with the Philadelphia 76ers (2003-2008), Utah Jazz (2008-2010), Chicago Bulls (2010-2012) and Hawks (2012-2017), Korver has averaged 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.7 steals. You don't know where you are going to be tomorrow. It would be odd for a team that is short on shooting to trade their best shooter if they were not shifting their focus to the future.

Korver has played his last game as an Atlanta Hawk. There's been no indication that the Mavs intend to let him go or that Williams is seeking a buyout, but that's the kind of player and scenario that could work out in Cleveland's favor.

Korver's departure might not be the last for the Hawks, who aren't the same team that won 60 games before losing to the Cavs in the 2015 Eastern Conference finals.

While the Warriors' top four or five are better than the Cavaliers' top four or five guys, Korver might make them deeper.

Kyle Korver, who is 35 years old, is now averaging 9.5 PPG and 2.8 RPG in about 28 MPG while shooting 44% from the field and 40.1% from three (while taking 5 threes a game).

James has been talking about needing a point guard for some time.

With trade rumours beginning to swirl around Paul Millsap, here's a look at three trade offers the Toronto Raptors could make to the Atlanta Hawks.

It was another example of the rich (in talent) getting richer.

"We still got a couple more things we need to do", James said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Kent Bazemore, who replaced Carroll, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "It sucks because it's to a team we want to beat". If the Atlanta Hawks felt that they could keep Millsap after this season, the trade chatter might die down a bit. He's got a really great IQ and he's going to help them in so many ways.

"It's slowing up our process because of what we're trying to build", said LeBron James, who also called Friday for the Cavs to acquire a proven backup point guard for Kyrie Irving even with Korver en route. Who knows? We don't know what's going on behind closed doors.
