Jessa Duggar Seewald gives birth to second child

The pair has one son already, Sturgeon Elliot Seewald, who is nearly 2. Jessa, 24, announced that she and Ben had welcomed another healthy baby boy.

Married in November 2014, they welcomed their first child, Spurgeon, a year later.

"We are so happy to announce the arrival of our sweet second son", Jessa and Ben said.

The twosome also thanked everyone for their support, 'prayers and well wishes!'

"It's not really about any specific number, but cherishing and loving the ones God brings to us - whether that be just one, or whether it be more, we'll be grateful", she told Us Weekly at the time.

"Mom and baby are both doing well", they continued.

19 Kids and Counting ended abruptly in 2015 after ten wildly successful seasons amid the revelations that the parents has covered up their oldest son, Josh Duggar's, having inappropriately touched girls in the family home more than a decade before.

Adding that: 'We are so thankful to God for this precious new gift of life and are excited to be a family of four!' We did this last time (with Spurgeon) and procrastinated.

And, coincidentally, the episode during which the couple (and a couple of Duggar's sisters) learn the sex of the baby at an ultrasound appointment airs Monday, the baby's actual birthday.

Jessa's older sister, Jill Dillard, is also expecting her second child with husband Derick, who previously shared the exciting news with People as well. During the episode, Jessa and Ben will visit their doctor to find out the gender of their baby.

Jessa Duggar compared her baby bumps at 39 weeks.

Whatever the name of their newest addition turns out to be, it likely won't start with an "S", like Spurgeon.
