PewDiePie's 'Anti-Semitic Video' is Still on His YouTube Channel

Prior to YouTube's move, Disney-owned Maker Studios also confirmed that it was severing its ties with PewDiePie after an investigation turned up a number of videos featuring Nazi imagery or anti-Semitic jokes.

Hours after Disney announced they would no longer be affiliated with PewDiePie (AKA Felix Kjellberg), YouTube announced that they had cancelled his show and removed him from its premium advertising program.

PewDiePie's videos have been scrapped from Google Preferred, thus preventing their further monetization, on the ground that they are in violation of YouTube's "advertiser-friendly content guidelines". "Although Felix has created a following by being provocative and irreverent, he clearly went too far in this case and the resulting videos are inappropriate". The setback should affect his earnings and as well as YouTube's since its YouTube Red service leans on stars such as PewDiePie to win subscribers who are willing to pay $10 (P499) a month.

YouTube has pulled from its advertising platform after.

All this would likely put a dent in Pewd's income, but he's still allowed to monetize videos through the usual ways on YouTube. His main channel now has 53 million subscribers and the Journal cites research suggesting he made $9.2 million in ad revenue off of content in 2016, beating out celebrities on the platform including Justin Bieber and Rihanna.

As per WSJ report, Kjellberg paid to the men to hold up the sign.

Disney's Maker Studios division had partnered with Kjellberg to produce a YouTube series called Scare PewDiePie-a deal that has now been terminated.

Two Indian people, named the Fiverr Funny Guys, also apologized in a video published on January 16, saying that they did not understand English well enough to grasp the meaning of the "Death to all Jews" banner, which was held by them in one of Kjellberg's videos.

"There is a fine line between what is and what is not considered to be hate speech", it added. "I know my audience understand [s] that and that is why they come to my channel". I think of the content that I create as entertainment, and not a place for any serious political commentary. Although he admitted the jokes were ultimately offensive, he said that it was not his intention. "For instance, it is generally acceptable to criticize a nation state, but not acceptable to post malicious, hateful comments about a group of people exclusively based on their race".
