Trump taps Mike Pence to lead panel investigating mass voter fraud

Pence said that Trump will make a decision in the days ahead.

Pressed by Stephanopoulos about Trump's criticism of the judge, Pence said that the American people were "very accustomed to this president speaking his mind".

"Look, Bill, we can be babies, but you take a look at the registration, you have illegals, you have dead people you have this, it's really a bad situation, it's really bad", he said.

The block was placed by judge James Robart (pictured), who deemed it unconstitutional.

US Vice-President Mike Pence issued a warning to Iran on Sunday not to "test the resolve" of new US President Donald Trump.

The case was brought before the Seattle-based judge after a case was filed by the states of Washington and Minnesota.

"I simply don't accept that there was any moral equivalency in the president's comments", Pence said. "The president is not a dictator", she said during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. "Doesn't that undermine the separation of powers in the Constitution, written right next door?"

A federal appeals court denied the Justice Department's request to reinstate the ban today.

"The president said everything is on the table", Pence said.

For one, the 9th Circuit of Appeals is one of the most liberal in the U.S., with 18 judges named by Democratic presidents, and only seven by Republicans.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) expects the legal fight will head to the highest court.

But even that may provide scant relief for the Trump administration, as it will need a majority vote of five to overturn Robart's block.

If support falls short, Trump has urged Senate Republicans to change longstanding rules - using what is referred to as the "nuclear option" - to allow Gorsuch's confirmation by a simple majority of 51 votes, a highly controversial approach.

Vice President Mike Pence seemed to break slightly with President Donald Trump over the question of Russian Federation on Sunday, taking a harder line than the president on how to handle Russia's incursion into Ukraine.

The bellicose chief executive derisively referred to the judge as a "so-called judge" in a tweet and denounced his ruling as "ridiculous" and contrary to the nation's best interest.

Trump added later Saturday, "What is our country coming to when a judge can halt a Homeland Security travel ban and anyone, even with bad intentions, can come into US?"
