United come from behind to book Cup quarter final with Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has no intention of repeating a mistake from the past and will "go serious" when Manchester United go to Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hailed the attitude of his players after they overcame a stubborn Blackburn Rovers to reach the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup.

"The FA Cup is something I believe is important for them".

But United's downfall over the past few seasons bares minimal in comparison with Blackburn, who now reside in 23rd position in the Championship and look all but set for relegation to League 1.

Chelsea won the League Cup a week after their defeat at St. James and beat Barca to progress to the last eight of the Champions League nine days after their Wembley success.

"In the second half it opened up a little bit more and Paul played me a great ball and I was happy to put it in and get on the scoresheet". And the fact we're away this time means I will go serious into this game.

Those differences stressed, he then added: "The match is in one month's time".

In the wake of a narrow 2-1 win at Blackburn, the United manager said his mind was too full of the club's upcoming commitment to even think about a return to Stamford Bridge.

The holders have been drawn away from Old Trafford for the first time in this season's competition, making the short trip to Ewood Park where they aim to take another stride towards retaining the trophy.

The Swede's first FA Cup goal relieved the tension, albeit only temporarily.

"There will be no heating in the dressing room, the toilets will be dirty, the fans are really close to the pitch, it can be quite daunting for some players", Davies said.

However, the quarter finals draw was held this evening by the Football Association (FA).

"I had the feeling immediately in the dressing room - too noisy, too amusing, too relaxed". We played already Reading and Wigan from the Championship, so it's not new for us, the level and the difficulty of the Championship.

"They really felt it was a hard match", he said.
