Congress, BJP, SP, NCP have joined hands to destroy AAP: Kejriwal

Congress, BJP, SP, NCP have joined hands to destroy AAP: Kejriwal

New Delhi: After coming under attack from the opposition for his pledge to make Delhi like London, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that he believed Delhi is unique in its own way and he only meant that if voted to power in the corporations, AAP would make Delhi as clean as European cities like London."I want to clarify that I have not said that we will turn Delhi into London".

CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "AAP government in two years has done what the BJP dispensation in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh failed to do in 10-15 years".

He further said, "Last time, the people gave us a historic 67 out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly Elections". On Tuesday, party vice president Rahul Gandhi will address the party workers convention at the Ramlila Grounds in Delhi wherein he will target AAP and BJP and also take feedback on who should be allotted tickets from various wards.

While he was promising a London-like place, a few residents of the area led by former Congress MLA Mukesh Sharma showed black flag to Kejriwal during his public rally.

Mr. Tiwari also charged former chief minister Sheila Dikshit and the Congress of making "false promises" to the people even as he accused both parties of having "no intention" of doing anything. "The issue is pending before the Delhi High Court", CM Kejriwal said. He said, "We do not have money to contest the election". "If we get control of these (three) municipal bodies, I promise to clean up Delhi like never before", he added. He said people of Delhi are only paying Rs 1,370 for 400 units of electricity, whereas in Gujarat it costs Rs 2,700.

"Delhi will be made as clean as London, which only AAP can do", he claimed.

However, in the civic bye-polls previous year to 13 seats, the Congress finished second with four seats ahead of the BJP at three and behind the AAP, which bagged the maximum of five seats.

Around 122 polyclinics, also part of AAP's three-tier health care reforms, will be built in the next one year, he said. Recently, AAP launched several schemes and projects, and is hoping that the hard work done by the government in improving the quality of life of ordinary Delhiites will pay political dividends.
