Scarlett Johansson Becomes Ivanka In SNL's 'Complicit' Perfume Ad

Scarlett Johansson Becomes Ivanka In SNL's 'Complicit' Perfume Ad

In the perfume commercial parody, host Scarlett Johansson played Ivanka.

"She's a woman who knows what she wants, and knows what she's doing - complicit".

As Johansson strolls through a glamorous black-tie event, the narrator introduces the first daughter, saying: "she's lovely, she's powerful, she's complicit".

In one scene, Ivanka applies lipstick in the mirror only to see her father (portrayed again by Alec Baldwin) in the reflection.

You see, she's taken aim at President Trump's pride and joy - his daughter, Ivanka Trump. The voiceover suggests Ivanka should have tried to hide from the spotlight if she was going to be silent on her father's questionable behavior, committed though she is to the president. "Sorry girl, you're Billy Zane", she continues, referencing the actor's character in the movie who selfishlessly talks his way into a lifeboat as the ship is sinking despite the fact that there are still women and children on board. She pointed out her last hosting gig was in 2015 "when the most upsetting thing in the news was that Mad Men was ending".

The new Saturday Night Live promo below featuring Scarlett Johansson and Lorde is pleasant enough, and Beck Bennett tries to get a good joke or two in here. Thompson informed Baldwin's Trump that everyone in California had been killed by the aliens.

The commercial continues with glamour shots of Ivanka and then comes the first comedic bulls eye: "She's handsome".

Ivanka knows where her bread is buttered.

Poking fun at her feminist credentials, the advert does not hold back at laying into Ivanka.

True, Ivanka has been known for championing feminist issues and recently advocating a $500 billion childcare plan, but "SNL" is not having any of that. She even adds the signature hand wave to bring in more authenticity to the video.

And don't worry, Jared Kushner, Complicit comes in cologne form too. Will Donald Trump or Ivanka react to this? "Plus Trump is the only one who isn't owned by Wall Street".
