Arsenal Prepared To Make Alexis Sanchez Highest Paid Footballer In EPL

Alexis Sanchez has been offered £300,000-a-week by Arsenal.

The Chile global has looked a frustrated figure on the pitch this term but he has still managed to score 18 goals from 30 Premier League appearances and provide 10 assists.

The Chile global has become increasingly frustrated in recent weeks as Arsenal have lost seven of their past 12 games in all competitions and fans have called for manager Arsene Wenger to step down at the end of the season.

Radio Cooperativa report that Sanchez has already decided that this will be his final season with Arsenal, while City are prepared to pay their Premier League rivals a £50million transfer fee.

Manchester United's Paul Pogba is now on £290,000 a week, but the report claims Arsenal are willing to break their wage structure and top this record.

The latest rumours in England suggest that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are leading the way to sign Sanchez, who is also said to be a target for Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Mesut Ozil, 28, who earns £140,000-a-week, will also reportedly be presented with a similar deal.

"The players first have to see if they are happy at the club, then they have to find an agreement".

The club now sit sixth in the Premier League table, seven points off fourth place and Champions League qualification.

Guardiola is a long-time admirer of Sanchez and signed him for Barcelona in 2011, but they spent just one season together before the coach left the Camp Nou.
