Galaxy S8 smartphone's facial recognition not that secure

Galaxy S8 smartphone's facial recognition not that secure

As you can see in the video below, a sophisticated security feature like the facial recognition on the Galaxy S8 can easily be bypassed if you hold up a photograph in front of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will either have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or the Exynos 8895 chip under their hoods, region dependant though Samsung hasn't specified which countries will get what chip as yet. The Galaxy S8 uses a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8+ features a 3,500 mAh battery. For the Charging, both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8 come with fast charging facility in wired or wireless condition. It comes with a 64bit, 14nm processor. Both chips will be supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, along with microSD for storage expansion. Some may also be put off by last year's quad-core 821 processor compared to the S8's octa-core 835 or Exynos 8895, but the average smartphone user probably wouldn't notice. The LG G6 will be first to hit shelves, beating the Galaxy S8 by at least a few weeks and giving LG a bit of a head start. For both the phones you can expand the storage to 256GB with an external SD card. Changes include opting to only use edged displays, pushing out the bezels on each side, hiding the physical button underneath the display and moving the fingerprint sensor to the back.

The OS for Galaxy S7 is Android 6.0 while the OS for Galaxy S8 is Android 7.0. This is down to the S8 and S8+ offering 18.5:9 aspect ratios rather than the standard 16:9, meaning the displays on the new devices are taller than the S7 but not wider, allowing for the increase diagonally. Fans of the unlocked Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had to wait until June 2016 in order for them to get their hands on this model, but it might get even better for this year's S8 and S8 Plus, especially now that the phone has already been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
