Kendrick Lamar drops latest album today

If you're looking for some extra cheer on this long weekend, the California hip hop artists has just the thing for you because he has just released his fourth studio album, DAMN.

As it turns out, Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. is a little bit different to the supposed tracklist that was leaked just a few weeks back, but its still just as impressive.

In addition to sampling Rivera, Lamar also raps the following lines on another track, 'YAH.': "Fox News wanna use my name for percentage" and "Somebody tell Geraldo this nigga got some ambition".

The album features collaborations with U2, Zacari and Rihanna. "It's not uber political like TPAB [To Pimp A Butterfly] but it has energy IMO".

A big part of the conversation around Lamar's most recent songs "The Heart Part 4" and "HUMBLE." was how he was aggressively putting other rappers (allegedly, Big Sean and Drake) on notice. "Blake", Sounwave, and countless others. "'DAMN.,' the one where he dies, or 'NATION.,' the one where he lives?"

"FEEL." seems like another introspective Lamar joint. US fans can stream it right now.

Listeners were quick to recognise the news clip featured at the end of the opening track BLOOD. "Already seeing a lot of discussion about the cover. and i'm really excited about's interesting to see people talk about "bad" design", he wrote. Tweeting "Y'all got til April 7 to get y'all's shit together, " fans assumed the new album would hit the shelves last week, however, it was well worth the wait. James plays snippets of multiple previously unheard tracks on the album, each of which capture the gritty, hard-hitting sound that was teased by Lamar and his various collaborators leading up to its release.
