Nier: Automata DLC adds Square Enix and Platinum Games presidents as bosses

Nier: Automata DLC adds Square Enix and Platinum Games presidents as bosses

Automata has some new DLC on the way, and its unique feature is that it allows you to fight the CEOs of the companies who created the game.

In the meantime, you can check out a batch of screenshots and costume artwork for Nier: Automata's "3C3C1D119440927" DLC in the gallery below.

This DLC has a name that just rolls off the tongue, 3C3C1D119440927.

These fourth wall-breaking bosses aren't entirely canon as the quest giver warns you "What you're about to see may end up destroying your sense of immersion". After Final Fantasy XV added Square Enix's Yosuke Matsuda, NieR: Automata did one better by not only bringing over Matsuda but also the CEO of PlatinumGames, Kenichi Sato.

Three of the game's primary characters - 2B, 9S, and A2 - all receive costumes inspired by the predecessor to Automata, 2010's Nier: Replicant.

In addition to the new colosseums, Square Enix promises additional sub-quests that can earn players some of the previously mentioned cosmetic rewards.

Square Enix has only noted that it will arrive "soon" for both the PS4 and PC versions.

Publisher Square-Enix confirmed that the DLC will be heading to the West though an exact release date wasn't provided.
