Chelsea won't ease up in title race, says Antonio Conte

Chelsea won't ease up in title race, says Antonio Conte

"Also at this part of the season, sometimes it's important to try to play even if your condition is not 100 per cent. David is showing us great commitment this season. But, don't forget Pedro played for Barcelona and he won a lot with this club", Conte added.

I was extremely surprised when one pundit said on commentary that he only expected such brilliance in the Chelsea line-up from Eden Hazard.

"In the second half Pedro scored a great goal and from that point we were able to control the game better".

"After the game the message was not with words, only hugs to show great enthusiasm", he explained.

With Chelsea having the "easier" run-in, and Tottenham being in excellent form in the league, it will be interesting to see how the end of the season shapes up.

Yet the defender, who was named in the PFA Premier League team of the year after his outstanding displays this season, appears to have been given the good news the injury won't sideline him.

"I didn't speak with the doctor about his (Luiz's) injury but I don't think it is a serious injury for him", said Conte, whose side's next outing is a Monday Night Football date with Middlesbrough on May 8.

For most part of the game, Everton more than matched the league leaders, and Ronald Koeman, the Everton manager, believes the scoreline was harsh on them.

He also praised the commitment of the player that he has given for the side this season, reminding how he has played through the knee problem that he suffered in November against Manchester City.

"He came on and I think he looks a veteran and it is great. But I must be pleased with them because they are showing me to be great men and fantastic players". It is great for him.

"But I think he understood I trust him because I put him in the (FA Cup) semi-final against Tottenham". I thought he controlled him, he was aggressive and we stopped one of the strengths of Chelsea today.
