Patty Jenkins Wants to Return for Contemporary Wonder Woman 2

Patty Jenkins Wants to Return for Contemporary Wonder Woman 2

Wonder Woman, the first comic book movie led by a female superhero, is the summer's most anticipated movie, according to online ticketing service Fandango.

Talking to Cinemablend, Wonder Woman producer Charles Roven seems to back up this conclusion.

This decision had received flak from movie buffs in the country.

Keri Russell voiced Wonder Woman in the 2009 DC Universe animated film of the same name, in which she battled Ares, the God of War (played by Feud star Alfred Molina). In an interview with Uproxx, Jenkins said that if she returned to the character she would want it to exist as another period piece.

Wonder Woman's Thursday night haul puts the film right around Man of Steel, which brought in $12 million in previews.

Unfortunately, no one knows what's going on in the Wonder Woman sequel. Co-starring in the film are Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen, and Elena Anaya.

Speaking to Uproxx, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins (who is expected to return for a sequel) said that doing another period film was always the plan for a potential sequel. Since we love Indiana Jones, we should melt under the spell of Steve Trevor whose secrets are revealed in Wonder Woman!

"It is a superhero movie like none I have ever seen", she continued.

"I think she is the grand, classic superhero", Jenkins says of her muse.

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior.

This uber hot Israeli model not just loves her action packed roles, but even owns a mean machine.

But you can't deny that Jenkins has directed WB/DC's best film by a lot. "She is too good to be a human", one reviewer complained.

Close Modal Window Hang on for a minute.we're trying to find some more stories you might like. Sometimes Artemis fights with Diana, other times she's against her. There is a attractive scene under the moon, in a boat, as they sail out to England and mayhem, where Diana tells Steve how she has read all of bodily pleasures and concluded that men are okay for procreation, not so much for pleasure.
