What Would Putin Do With a Gay Man in Shower?

What Would Putin Do With a Gay Man in Shower?

Putin spoke to US filmmaker Oliver Stone, whose preview of a two-part interview series with the Russian leader is already receiving negative reviews for its apparently fawning tone.

The Russian President invited Oliver Stone to show him a command room equipped with the latest technologies used by Russians in Syria.

In this June 3 photo released, Russian President Vladimir Putin talks with Megyn Kelly during an interview with NBC's "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The award-winning director is seen asking Putin about Edward Snowden, the former US National Security Agency contractor and CIA employee who leaked classified information about the extent of the NSA's surveillance.

Audiences learn Putin never missed a day of his presidency purely because he is a man.

If that made you gag a little, you weren't the only ones. "Russian Federation is your company", he says at another.

Russia, Putin says, is forced to take countermeasures over the ever-increasing North Atlantic Treaty Organisation threat and armed military build-up on Russia's borders.

In his discussion with Stone, however, Putin says, "There are no restrictions whatsoever".

Don't worry though, Putin also brought some grade-a homophobia to the proceedings when asked about how LGBTQ people are treated in his country.

The man repeatedly called Russia's most eligible bachelor later parries questions about one of his third presidential term's most controversial laws-the so-called gay propaganda law.

Airing consecutively next week in what feels like the tail end of Putin's current media lack-of-charm offensive, the Stone-directed and -hosted extravaganza certainly lacks the deft touch of a Werner Herzog documentary.

However, when asked if he'd take a shower in a submarine next to a gay man, Putin laughed.

"Pilot says he is going to make another attempt", Putin tells the USA director while showing him a live feed from a military jet on a smartphone.

"It's crucial for the United States to understand another point of view", Stone said.

"I'm interested in preventing a further deterioration in relations", he explained".

'I think he [Snowden] shouldn't have done it.
