'Alexis Sanchez wants £400000-a-week to stay at Arsenal'

'Alexis Sanchez wants £400000-a-week to stay at Arsenal'

Sanchez, 28, is heading into the final year of his Arsenal contract and, with no Champions League football for the Gunners next year, has been widely tipped to leave.

Latest reports claim Sanchez has turned down the most recent offer of £275,000-a-week, and is demanding a mega £400,000-a-week contract to stay at Arsenal. "The simple equation is this: £400,000-a-week is £20m a year, over four years that's £80m".

Arsenal won't want to lose Sanchez as after scoring 30 goals and providing 19 assists in 51 games last season, he established himself as the talisman in this current side.

For the whole summer so far, Arsenal fans have been fretting about the future of Alexis Sanchez.

Zamorano believes Sanchez is a victor and desperately wants to lift the Champions League, something the Chile legend thinks can not happen at Arsenal.

They also add that Arsenal improved their financial offer to Alexis and that a new contract is likely.

Furthermore, with the Gunners finished outside the Top 4, they will play in the Europa League next season - a prospect that is reportedly pushing Sanchez close to a summer exit.

Lacazette arrives in North London as Arsenal's most expensive and highest paid player, pocketing a reported weekly wage of £200,000.

Alexis Sanchez looks like he's staying put, if a Chilean journalist is right.

Bayern Munich have also been credited with a strong interest in the forward but that seems to have cooled due to the daunting cost of convincing Arsenal to sell and putting together a wage package that meets Alexis demands.
