Arsenal boss Wenger accuses clubs of tapping up his 'top players'

Arsenal boss Wenger accuses clubs of tapping up his 'top players'

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has reportedly rejected a move to Marseille this summer, while Hector Bellerin is heading back to London.

Koscielny has often paid tribute to manager Arsene Wenger for taking a chance and bringing him to the Premier League from Lorient in 2010, and he said the long-serving Arsenal boss has contributed to his growth off the pitch as well.

That takes the club's outlay on full-backs so far this summer to £133m and the 23-year-old (who has signed a five-year deal) could make his debut as early as Wednesday's pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in Los Angeles.

So says the Daily Express with the paper adding that the Chilean frontman is edging ever closer to an exit from the Emirates although there are still several obstacles to surmount before he can finally call himself an ex-Gunner.

Koscielny, who has played almost 300 matches for the club since signing from Lorient seven years ago, is adamant he has no plans to depart, insisting he loves the club and London life.

According to a report from Transfer Market Web, the Ligue 1 club are reluctant to sell one of their most prized assets, but may be willing to let the former Caen star leave the Stade Louis II should their valuation be met by Arsenal.

"I am just here to enjoy my job and give everything for the team, and get the best results for the club".

'I am happy in my life every day, not just the football but my life with my wife and kids in London.

'Wenger is a big inspiration for me. He bought me from France, has given me everything to help me play for Arsenal, and has helped me as a man too. "I don't know what we need to do really because no-one has found the right solution".
