How John McCain spent his weekend days after cancer announcement

How John McCain spent his weekend days after cancer announcement

The 80-year-old Arizona senator will return to Washington to cast what could be the deciding vote Tuesday to open debate on legislation to repeal and replace "Obamacare". McCain and continued health coverage for all who need similar medical care and treatment. "Then this will be his legacy".

WASHINGTON | The Senate plans to vote Tuesday to try to advance a sweeping rewrite of the nation's health care laws with the last-minute arrival of Sen.

Trump said it's "so great" that McCain is returning to Washington to vote, describing the move as "brave" and the senator as an "American hero". Could it really be that one of the last political acts of John McCain would be to save the bacon of the president so many Democrats hate?

"There's been enough talk - and no action", the President declared.

"I find myself annoyed at the groundswell of good wishes for John McCain after his diagnosis of glioblastoma and have been thinking through why", professor Jonathan Graubart wrote in a since-deleted Facebook post, per KGTV-TV.

"I think we're going to proceed to debate", Cornyn said. John McCain has been repeatedly trashed by leaders in the Republican party only to come crawling back to cape for those same abusers.

McCain was a Navy pilot during the Vietnam War, displaying a special kind of bravery and patriotism during his missions.

McCain has indicated he would vote yes on a motion to proceed vote with the assurance that he can add amendments to the bill once it's on the floor.

McConnell's measure would uproot much of Obama's law, eliminating its tax penalties on people not buying policies, cutting the Medicaid health care program for the poor and providing less generous health care subsidies for consumers.

His return might serve as a respite to the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell who has been trying hard to push the health care vote amid vehement opposition from the Democrats and the Independents.

This time Trump put pressure on his Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, whom he said, perhaps in jest, that he needs to get the job done. It is unlikely that the tumor was completely removed during last week's surgery, and the Senator will likely require additional chemotherapy and radiation therapy in the coming weeks once he has recovered. McCain is seen here at a townhall meeting in Greendale, Wisconsin on May 30, .

Flake, who asked Trump to withdraw from the presidential race in October after the "Access Hollywood" tape of crude remarks by the real estate magnate surfaced, has raised almost $3.8 million, 64 percent of which came from individual contributions.

Heroes are consistent, they face danger, personal hardship and possible public scorn to fight for what's right and for those who can't fight for themselves.

Less than a week after announcing he has brain cancer, Sen. John McCain is none of those things.

Does this mean that the GOP gets to pass something on health care? "He was captured, but maybe not a war hero".
