45 senators urge block of Trump's trans military ban

The military would "not accept or allow" transgender people to serve "in any capacity", according to the Trump tweet. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and can not be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.

In a joint statement with the East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club, the Lambda Democratic Club called on President Trump to disavow his statements and work towards promoting an inclusive military. At the time, the most common reason for failure was asthma. She served 10 years in the military, both in the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps.

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted this week found that the majority of Americans support transgender military service, disagreeing with the president.

"D$3 ata ...showed in 2014, the Pentagon spent $84.24 million on 1.18 million prescriptions for eight different erectile dysfunction drugs like Cialis and Levitra". We will fight against the Trump administration's efforts to denigrate and marginalize Americans based on sexual orientation, and fight for equal protection under the law for all. Meanwhile, reports have pointed out that the U.S. military spends roughly $41.6 million each year on Viagra alone - approximately five times the amount it would reportedly spend on transition-related medical care for transgender service members. "In the meantime, we will continue to treat all of our personnel with respect". Not million, billion. Sometimes we like to think that one million and one billion are figures that are comparable to one another, but, for size comparison, one million seconds is 11.5 days, whereas one billion seconds is 37.7 years.

But if the Department of Defense were to reinstate the ban, would transgender service members who are already serving be dismissed?

Another issue with the idea of a transgender ban is blatant government ignorance of the fact that not all transgender individuals opt to have their bodies surgically altered or opt for hormone therapy.

"We further write to request that, at a minimum, you do not separate any service member due to the person's gender identity until you have completed the assessment that you announced on June 30, have reported back to Congress about any challenges that you foresee in the accession and retention of transgender troops, and determined the Department is unable to mitigate these challenges".

In an interview with The Christian Post, Moore maintained that Trump's decision to rescind the Obama-era military policy had more to do with his discussions with military personnel than the influence of conservative evangelical leaders. These figures prove that the medical costs of transgender specific treatment were simply used as an excuse to ostracize the transgender community and capitalize on the aspect of being transgender that most cisgender people do not understand: the medical aspect. They, at the very least, deserve more than a string of inaccurate, ellipses-joined Twitter insults. Unless a large number of transgenders were going to enlist immediately, I really don't see how this is even relevant to the Left.

"Lots and lots of money has gone into training them to be exceptionally good at this stuff they have volunteered and want to do, but yet here we are rounding them all up and saying nope. This short-sighted and discriminatory policy will make America less safe".
