Baby Blake Griffin? Clippers' Danilo Gallinari Injuries Hand Punching Opponent

Gallinari got aggressive with Jito Kok and took a swing with his right hand at Kok's face.

Danilo Gallinari of the Los Angeles Clippers will miss the EuroBasket tournament after breaking a bone in his hand while playing for Italy.

Both bigs were fighting for position to get a rebound.

The Italian forward went right at Kok after Kok hit Gallinari in the neck/face area with a forearm while attempting to box him out. A fractured hand can keep a player sidelined for a considerable amount of time, as Clippers fans previously learned with Blake Griffin after a similar incident.

The 6-foot-10 forward came to L.A. after inking a sign-and-trade deal worth $63 million over three years. The broken hand is a little ironic, since Clippers teammate Blake Griffin missed time last season for punching a team trainer.

The Italian federation, via Eurohoops.net, announced the injury to Gallinari after he went to the hospital for an evaluation (h/t Sky Sport, via Sportando).
