Apple to launch iPhone 8 on Sep 12

Apple to launch iPhone 8 on Sep 12

While Apple did not specify what will be announced, it's safe to assume that we will be treated to the new iPhone 7s, 7s Plus, and the iPhone 8. Another info revealed is that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will have lightning ports but future models will inevitably switch to USB-C. With this in mind, it is expected to release three new smartphones, iPhone 7S, iPhone 7S Plus and its anniversary iPhone, which is now known as the iPhone 8.

It claims the bezel-less iPhone will be branded the iPhone X - called as the iPhone 10 - via a "reliable source", based on "information announced by Apple itself in Cupertino" at a conference meeting on Thursday, August 31. iCulture's trustworthy source was previously correct regarding the 10.5-inch iPad Pro rumors. That choice will likely spur speculation that Apple's new phone will feature a screen with organic light-emitting diode, or OLED, which will display more vivid colours than previous models.

Flicking or swiping gestures could replace the home button function, enabling the handset face to appear nearly all-screen. Norges Bank bought a new position in shares of Apple during the fourth quarter valued at about $5,625,709,000. After talking to several casemakers, at the ongoing IFA event in Berlin, they think that the high-end device might be named iPhone Edition.

Apple is all set to take off the wraps of its latest iPhones on September 12. The new operating system will include an improved Siri smart assistant and Apple Maps.

The South Korean giant maintained the top spot with a 23.3 percent market share, while Apple held onto second place with 12 percent, according to IDC.

Apple sent out media invitations to the event, where it is expected to unveil its 11th-generation smartphones. The company will also show off the dual-lens camera of the iPhone 8 that could surpass the Samsung's Galaxy Note 8.
