Reality star falls through stage in brutal awards show gaffe

Reality star falls through stage in brutal awards show gaffe

Speaking on today's This Morning, the Towie star said her "big bum" broke her fall and thanked her fellow reality stars for helping her get back on her feet as fast as possible.

Gemma Collins was presenting an award at the Radio 1 Teen awards over the weekend.

In a video of the moment which has (obviously) gone viral, the GC doesn't seem to notice the trap door opening up beside her bringing three of the Islanders up onto the stage and promptly plunges down it, leading Amber Davies, Marcel Somerville and Jamie Jewitt to try to help her.

The 36-year-old later added: 'Well guys despite being mortified that I almost wiped love island peeps out so sorry guys I had a ball with [hosts] Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw'.

"Madonna done it and I done it", she said.

"It was my left side that hit as I went down".

"However, I am in a bit of pain this morning, I'm not going to lie".

'Well guys despite being mortified that I almost wiped love island peeps out so sorry guys I had a ball with Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw, ' she explained.

The Essex native was presenting an award for "Best TV Show" at the glitzy ceremony in front of a crowd of thousands at Wembley Arena.

But she did admit that she was a little bruised, writing alongside a snap of her and Rita: 'Guys it was all worth it cause I got a selfie with RITA ORA #lifegoals off to bed now I'm in agony and need to rest'.

She later told hosts Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw: "Do you know what, apart from stacking it on stage?"

"I mean guys I'm going to have to take the whole of the next year off just to collaborate with the pop stars".

However, Gemma being Gemma then joked that the incident might give her leverage to get on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

She added: "It's just one of these moments I don't think I'm ever going to live down".
