Stranger Things Actor Barred Entry to US

Stranger Things Actor Barred Entry to US

Stranger Things" star Charlie Heaton was deported from the U.S. over "cocaine bust'.

Charlie Heaton, a star of the hit Netflix show "Stranger Things", was denied entry into the USA last week after trace amounts of cocaine were found in his luggage when he arrived in Los Angeles.

Law enforcement officials confirmed to THR that they found traces of cocaine on Heaton and that the actor admitted the consumption of drugs to them.

According to USA Today, the actor had flown from London to Los Angeles, but was denied entry into the country after a customs canine detected drugs in his luggage. It's unclear at this time how much cocaine Heaton allegedly had on his person and it's also unclear for how long Heaton will be unable to re-enter the country.

It's important to note that Heaton was not arrested after the discovery - apparently, only a very small amount was found, and it likely wasn't worth the trouble.

"#Stranger Things 2" is already on Netflix and was off to a good start up until #Charlie Heaton was noticeably absent during the premiere party.

The actor was flying to Los Angeles for the second season premiere of his show "Stranger Things" which he missed.

The Deadline article notes that Netflix has not commented or released a statement on the situation, and Heaton's future on the show has not been addressed.
