Wife who discovered husband's extramarital affair midflight gets plane diverted

Wife who discovered husband's extramarital affair midflight gets plane diverted

Angered by the discovery, the woman reportedly started to hit her husband.

She unlocked her husband's phone by using the fingerprint scanner while he was sleeping. In an weird incident, a woman got into a heated altercation with her husband on board a Doha-Bali Qatar Airways flight as per reports by The Indian Express.

As there was no security issue, the family were soon able to fly to Kuala Lumpur, where they boarded a flight back to Doha.

Data from plane-tracking website FlightRadar24 shows that the plane began its descent into Chennai just before leaving the east coast of India, which would have likely seen the flight continue across the Indian Ocean onto Denpasar.

The woman, an Iranian, is said to have found about her husband's affair from his phone after she used his thumb impression to unlock the phone.

In a statement, an official from India's Central Industrial Security Force official confirmed the incident. When the crew intervened and tried to pacify her she also purportedly misbehaved with them.

The Doha, Qatar flight to Bali had to land in Chennai, India to offload the family.

Eventually the pilot had to divert the flight to Chennai citing an unruly passenger on board for the diversion.

It is understood the family were kept in a detention centre as they did not have Indian visas.

"In respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases". No police action was taken, which means both the wife and the husband got off scot-free. Later, they were put on a plane to Kuala Lumpur and taken to Doha by a connecting flight from there.
