Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick arrested hours after SEC championship game

He was arrested on October 5 in Athens on a misdemeanor charge of possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana. The previous two were related to marijuana possession, the second of which caused him to be suspended four games this year. Whether Stanley gets the same punishment remains to be seen, but it doesn't appear he has been arrested during his Georgia career. His bond was set for $1,030.

Smith said Patrick paid a "small fine" and has since been released.

This is Patrick's third arrest.

UGASports.com reported Sunday morning that Patrick, a junior linebacker, is facing a misdemeanor charge after his arrest late Saturday night.

He was arrested back in November 2015 with teammate Chauncey Rivers, who was eventually dismissed from the team, by Athens-Clarke County Police for marijuana possession on campus.

Wide receiver Jayson Stanley and linebacker Natrez Patrick were arrested at 11:50 p.m. following a traffic stop, according to Barrow County Sheriff's Office officials.

In nine games (seven starts) this season, Patrick has 35 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.

On Saturday, Georgia crushed Auburn in the SEC championship game and it was good vibes all around and it was time to celebrate, because they knew they were headed to the College Football Playoff.
