Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding to clash with FA Cup final

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding to clash with FA Cup final

But a scheduling clash between the FA Cup final and his brother's weddings means he is unlikely to be at the National Stadium on 19 May this year.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19 — the same day as one of the biggest English sports events of the year, the FA Cup final.

The group said in a statement Friday that it's "delighted" with the date choice (which sounds like something an organization probably has to say when a royal is its president).

But next year, William, who is tipped to be Harry's best man, looks likely to be otherwise engaged with wedding duties.

Queen Elizabeth's grandson, who's fifth in line to the throne, and Meghan, known for her leading role in U.S. TV legal drama Suits, announced their engagement late last month. If their plan pushes through, Markle and Harry will be the first one among the royals to have a cake made from the fruit.

UK's Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle will marry on May 19 at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle near London, Kensington Palace said today.

Despite the conflict, people are excited about the royal wedding, and that includes the FA.

The bride-to-be will become a British citizen and must be both baptised and confirmed ahead of the religious ceremony, it had earlier been revealed.

Global interest in our Royal Family has also been given an injection of steroids following the Netflix series The Crown, which dramatises the early years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
