Bye! Meghan Markle Deletes All Social Media Accounts

Bye! Meghan Markle Deletes All Social Media Accounts

Meghan Markle made her second official engagement alongside Prince Harry on Tuesday and as usual all eyes were on the U.S. actress.

Looks like they have since reconciled, however, as seen in Meghan's Instagram post from Father's Day 2016, where she said "to this day your hugs are still the very best in the whole wide world".

Although the royal family does use social media in an official manner, none of the royals have their own personal social media accounts that we know of.

Both the verified Twitter and Instagram accounts for Meghan disappeared this morning, nine months after she made the decision to shut down her lifestyle website, The Tig. A palace source told People that "Ms. Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years".

As crowds cheered outside, the pair were introduced to workers at the youth-led Reprezent FM in Brixton, in their second official visit together.

Shortly after Harry and Markle's engagement, Kensington Palace also announced that Markle would no longer carry on her charitable work with World Vision and as a United Nations advocate and would join of the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Harry, as the main vehicle for their philanthropic activities. She recently moved from Toronto, where "Suits" is filmed, to London to live with Harry.

The UK Government has launched a four-week public consultation seeking views on whether to relax licensing hours across England and Wales to celebrate the wedding, set to take place on 19 May 2018.
