MHW Scores Megabucks for Capcom with 5M Copies Shipped

MHW Scores Megabucks for Capcom with 5M Copies Shipped

Capcom recently made the announcement that Ryu and Sakura from the "Street Fighter" series will have armor sets inspired by their outfit. The first game in the Monster Hunter franchise was released way back in 2004 i.e. 14 years ago.

Each costume will be available in Monster Hunter World as a full set of armour, meaning it can only be equipped in its entirety and not mixed with other armour.

In addition, the press release discusses further ways to promote the Monster Hunter brand, including qualifying tournaments for a Kariou Playoffs segment, determining the best monster hunter in Japan. When you complete said quest, you'll get "SFV Tickets" as a reward item.

If you're preparing to step out into Monster Hunter for the first time, you may be wondering exactly how you are meant to slay these huge beasts and capture them. Specifically, Xbox One players have noted difficulties teaming up with others and, in turn, are missing out on one of Monster Hunter World's newest features. The set changes a hunter's armor, whether male or female, to look and sound just like Ryu.

The specific dates of the launch of the quests, however, remain unknown. The exact timing is still to be announced, but during this time, everyone will be able to fight for their Ryu set. Street Fighter V will get some MHW costumers as well! Players will need to spend 2,500 Fight Money to attempt a challenge in the Extra Battle Mode, and completing four weekly challenges will unlock the armor set costume.

The new costumes can be acquired with Fight Money through the Extra Battle Mode.
