CAS to announce Russian Olympic doping verdicts on Thursday

Enter Discovery Communications' Eurosport, who is bringing 50 hours of live coverage of the Winter Olympics happening at PyeongChang, South Korean, between the 9-25 February, to Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

However, the sudden decision of North Korea to stay away from a mutually agreed decision will put a brake on the initiative.

Graf said that her decision did not mean she was retiring.

South Korea says it is continuing discussions with North Korea on the holding of joint events during the Winter Olympics next month despite the recent cancellation by Pyongyang of one such event.

In response to Monday night's telegram, the ministry said "it is very regrettable that an event agreed by the South and the North will not be held due to North Korea's unilateral notification".

At the same time a media release will be issued on the CAS website.

President Moon Jae-in will host a reception for foreign dignitaries ahead of the opening ceremony on February 9 and hold bilateral talks over lunch and dinner with 14 others, including presidents from Germany and Slovenia, he added. The statement said North Korea also cited criticism of an "internal celebration event", which appeared to be a reference to speculation that it will hold a large-scale military parade in Pyongyang on the eve of the Games.

North Korea's army has scaled back annual winter military exercises this year, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday, citing unidentified USA officials familiar with intelligence reports.

"It is a great pleasure finally arriving here and to look forward to these Olympic Winter Games with great anticipation".

U.S. President Donald Trump announced a set of sanctions in September that include banning vessels and aircraft that have visited North Korea from visiting the U.S. within 180 days. Obviously, President Moon Jae-in of South Korea would be disappointed on these developments. The Paralympics are scheduled to take place March 9-18, 2018.

The Koreas' current reconciliation mood followed a year of heightened animosities over North Korea's nuclear program.

The IOC President took the newly built KTX high-speed rail line, which connects Incheon International Airport and Seoul with PyeongChang and Gangneung.
