Ben Affleck has finally addressed the subject of his 'garish' back tattoo

Ben Affleck has finally addressed the subject of his 'garish' back tattoo

The piece started with, of course, the writer noting Affleck's big phoenix tattoo on his back, which had been the talk of the town since he was recently seen on Honolulu beach during the production of his upcoming project with Netflix, Triple Frontier. The Justice League actor took to Twitter to respond to this week's New Yorker article titled "The Great Sadness of Ben Affleck", which ridiculed Affleck's shirtless appearance on the beach in Honolulu. Thick skin bolstered by garish tattoos, Affleck wrote on Twitter, making light of his bearded look.

The piece also points out that his younger co-stars are in better shape: "Garrett Hedlund and Charlie Hunnam, wrestled in the surf like purebred puppies, Affleck, who is forty-five, was photographed wading into the ocean".

Thinking, 'Oh, no Ben Affleck didn't?' We can assure you he did.

"Ben Affleck's massive back tattoo mocked", CNN wrote, succinctly summing things up. The pair share children Violet, 12, Seraphina, nine, and Samuel, six.

This is published unedited from the PTI feed. "I support him in all of his artistic expression", Matt said.

At one point, the article suggested that the tattoo of an enormous phoenix rising from the ashes symbolised "not just the fall of Affleck but the coming fall of man".

In the New Yorker article, the writer reflected on the "recalibration" of Affleck's career trajectory in the two years since his split from Jennifer Garner. 'Am I the ashes in this scenario?.I refuse to be the ashes'.

Recently, Affleck's close friend Matt Damon protected him in an interview with The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

She also made mention of the fact that Ben formerly lied about the tattoo being fake in an interview with Extra's Mario Lopez. "We've been living in a world run by Afflecks for so long, will we even know ourselves when they're gone?"
