"Call of Duty: Black Ops 4" Teases Gamers With New Trailer

Activision have officially announced that this years annual Call Of Duty release will be Black Ops 4, and will be releasing earlier than the franchise usually does, with a release date of October 12th 2018. Treyarch is set to revolutionize the top-selling series in Call of Duty history when it launches worldwide on Friday, October 12, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

With the Black Ops 4 announcement comes the news of a community reveal event held by developers Treyarch. Judging by the teaser video in the tweet above, the game will be set in either modern times or the slight future, which lines up with previous rumors. We'd expect it will also be enhanced for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. There's no mention yet if there will be a Nintendo Switch version of the game. It's also possible this rumor is simply inaccurate, which doesn't seem likely given how all the others have been proven true so far. As Forbes points out, this is the first time since Call of Duty 2 in 2005 that a Call of Duty game is being released in October. As of yesterday, when the New Call of Duty title was announced, we were all excited to find out that it's releasing a month earlier than expected. The reason behind this decision is probably Red Dead Redemption 2.

Perhaps perfectly, the release date and first teaser for the latest installment of the popular first-person shooter franchise reached the Internet just hours before President Trump's video game violence summit on Thursday.

The latest entry in the long-running first-person shooter series will be shown off during a community reveal event now scheduled for May 17. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
