Kate Middleton in pictures: The Duchess of Cambridge meets SportsAid stars

Sure, she's worn trousers before but we're so used to seeing her in her usual dress/skirt and coat combo that this latest look has caught us a little off guard.

In addition to her own engagements, shes also teamed up with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, and future-sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, for the Royal Foundation Forum in late February.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are attending a number of public engagements today and it's been rumoured that this will be Kate's last appearance before the third royal baby arrives. "It is therefore vital that we nurture children through this critical, early period".

With the baby due in April, we're sure that the page will have some exciting updates very soon!

Kate, who is due next month, was in high spirits as she arrived at Olympic Park. They also watched a media training session for young athletes before taking part in a Commonwealth Quiz, where athletes, coaches and supporters were questioned on their knowledge of the Commonwealth, of which the Queen is head.

The couple met Paralympians, hopefuls for next month's Commonwealth Games in Australia and Lizzy Yarnold, who took gold in the skeleton at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Every year SportsAid supports more than 1,000 athletes - the vast majority aged 12-18 - by providing a financial award to help with training and competition costs.

The royal couple then travelled to a community cafe in Clerkenwell, east London to help locals and volunteers put the finishing touches on a meal for this year's Commonwealth Big Lunch - a project which aims to bring as many people together as possible for a sit down meal.

In the centre's cafe, William and Kate will be given a briefing on the work of St Luke's, which provides services and activities, has a range of facilities including a fully equipped cookery school and runs community classes on healthy home cooking and avoiding food waste.
