Showers expected Wednesday, but no severe weather

Showers expected Wednesday, but no severe weather

Watching a system for Friday that will bring a chance for more rain showers and even a thunderstorm late Friday into Friday night. Highs will be in the mid and upper 60s, but maybe warmer depending on sunshine.

Temperatures in the 60s area wide as rain has moved east and drier air is pushing into the region from the Northwest.

Rain should move into west Alabama during the pre-dawn hours tomorrow, and widespread rain is likely tomorrow morning. There will be some locations north, that don't see any rain at all. Lows will be in the upper 50s.

Grab that umbrella as you head out today, or a poncho! Right now there is a second area of low pressure over Tennessee. We won't be too cool though.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 70, and Sunday will be mostly sunny but cooler, with a high near 62, and a chance of showers before noon, forecasters said.

We keep mostly cloudy skies for Friday with another cold front sliding through the area starting around lunch time and lasting into the evening. The rain will taper off after midnight with clouds lingering through sunrise. That is depending on what model run or output you look at.

Thu: High: 66 Mostly sunny to partly cloudy.

Expect plenty of sunshine and a few scattered clouds. This will set the stage for temps to drop below freezing by Sunday. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us handsome heading into tomorrow with slightly cooler conditions and temperatures warming into the weekend. Weekend weather still looks ideal! The only key thing to watch for this weekend would be Sunday night. We may be fortunate in that it appears the heaviest showers will end before the evening commute. Temperatures are in the lower to middle 60s. High temperatures will be back on the warm side, near 70 degrees across the state. Tuesday and Wednesday will be the start of a big warm-up, with highs both days reaching into the upper-70s to near 80. As of now, next week looks ideal.
