Deadliest Catch star Blake Painter found dead at 38

Deadliest Catch star Blake Painter found dead at 38

There's some sad news for Deadliest Catch fans.

Deadliest Catch star Blake Painter was found dead in his home in OR on Friday, the Clatsop County Sheriff's office confirms to ET.

There is no reported cause of death, as of this writing. No foul play was suspected. Authorities entered the home and discovered his body.

He was 38-years-old.

He starred on Season 2 of the Discovery show and returned for several episodes of Season 3.

As beloved as he was, however, Painter was not without his problems. The paper said he was charged with DUI and heroin possession, among other things.

Bergin said his county, located on the coast west of Portland near the Washington state border, is rich in natural resources, thus attracting reality-TV productions such as Deadliest Catch and Ax Men, which followed logging crews in the local forests. In 2010, Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie, died of a stroke while in port at St Paul Island. Doctors blame the severe conditions - severe weather, severe physical exertion, and severe sleep deprivation - for the fishermen featured on Deadliest Catch suffering from a variety of ailments.

Blake Painter, an OR fisherman featured on the television series "The Deadliest Catch", has died.
