E3 2018: Bethesda Announces Starfield (+trailer)

E3 2018: Bethesda Announces Starfield (+trailer)

Still, Bethesda confirming that the game is in development should be enough to get legions of Elder Scrolls fans excited. It is a completely free game, but "pre-ordering" will inform users automatically once it becomes available in Fall 2018.

Release windows for both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI were not given. It is very early days though so it is another project that we have no idea about the release date. If you don't own a Switch, however, despair not, because Bethesda has your back.

Although there's no denying that Fallout 76 was the highlight of Bethesda's E3 conference, one of the most surprising announcements came in the form of Elder Scrolls Blades.

Todd Howard has, inevitably, been quizzed on how far along Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 are, giving us some insight into how long we might be waiting. Still, though, it's on your phone, which is still something.

This autumn though there'll be The Elder Scrolls: Blades for smartphones. The first one is Abyss, where you'll have to fight your way through a dungeon before you die, in the spirit of roguelike games. You are forced into exile, and from there, the story unfolds.

During the presentation Bethesda indicated that it was trying to create in The Elder Scrolls: Blades an experience that players can pick up and play wherever and whenever they want.

There will also be The Town - the hub for your quests. You can also build your town to your liking or go visit friends towns.

Doom Eternal is the sequel to the 2016 remake of Doom, and the gameplay will be revealed at QuakeCon this coming August.

Blades can be played either by tapping the screen or using virtual dual sticks, with combat including ranged attacks, magical spells and standard melee attacks. Set to an all-new pulse pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon, fight across dimensions as you slay new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities.
