WeFi announces ten millionth hotspot catalogued

WeFi the recently promoted through major Internet Press releases program for locating WiFi hes announced the addition of their ten millionth listing of WiFi hotspots around the world. A WiFi hotspot is defined by WeFi as ant place where a wireless broadband signal exists.

So this means your home office and your child’s laptop are part of the ten million WiFi locations counted by WeFi worldwide. The WeFi program once installed on a computer desktop will automatically scan your surrounding turf and assimilate into its system any signals your 802 ping can bounce a return from. Of course the vast majority of these signals are private and encrypted but what does that matter? It matters in that one might not want a ‘big brother” type system making note of their private in home signal.

What’s more WeFi promotes this fabulous technology as if it were some brand new thing. Every connection management program known to man will do the same thing upon request. What the connectivity software bundled with Windows does not do is take the information and send it back to the “mother ship”.

WeFi is intrusive and a shoddy means to gather ip address information. No doubt they will be sending forced ads along any second now.
